- November 27, 2000- Oak continues to hurt his former teams with 16 pts on 7-10 shooting and 11 boards in a costly win over the Bulls. Looks like Vince Carter's going to be out for a while...
- November 26, 2000- Raps win 79-75 over the Knicks. After a lackluster, 0-6 shooting first half, the ever resilient Charles Oakley hit two important 3-pointers and 2 game-clinching free throws to finish off his old team in MSG. Oak's offensive outburst in the 3rd quarter cames as the Raptors were nursing a slim lead. "I know I'm not one of the best shooters in the league, but I can shoot and I'm going to keep shooting," Oakley said. "I'm still off. I just made a couple." Also, when asked about the Knicks trading Patrick Ewing, Oakley said the Patrick Ewing deal was like trading a mobile home for a Yugo!
- November 25, 2000- Oak with a low-key performance of 6 rebounds on a Thanksgiving blowout of the Pacers. Interesting stat: Charles Oakley is the only player in league to rank among top 25 in both rebounds (9.0) and assists (4.9). Oakley is 24th overall in assists, first among frontcourt players. Just another testament to Oak's underrated passing ability. I wonder how many of those assists have come on behind the back passes?
- November 20, 2000- Just another note about Oak's triple-double. It set a NBA record for the longest span in league history between triple-doubles. Oak's previous one had come in 1987 while he was with the Chicago Bulls! When asked about achieving this feat again, Oakley had this to say: " Hey, anything's possible. It's the year 2000 and we ain't go no president."
- November 15, 2000- Charles Oakley with a triple-double against Chicago! Three straight double-doubles! Oak about his feat: "I didn't know about it until I heard the guys on the bench talking about it. I'm 36 years old, and I just wanted to get out and win this game." Oak's been playing like he's 26.
- November 3, 2000- Regular season underway... Oak with a double-double in a season-opening loss to the Pistons. He then had 6 pts, 9 rbs in a loss to Philly. On the brighter side, Vince Carter and Charles Oakley have been named co-captains by coach Lenny Wilkens.
